Love is in the air

 Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love and affection. For many people, it is a day to express their love for one another. It can also be a day for exchanging gifts, enjoying special meals or treats, or simply spending time together. There are many legends about it, but it's ultimately unclear how Valentine's Day became associated with the tradition of exchanging the affectionate gifts and love notes that we call valentines.

I spent the Valentine's Day a little bit different this year, compared from last year's, I celebrated it with the whole family, relatives and not blood-related, We had a lot of handaan and played games too! But this time, I only celebrated it with my family, since some of my relatives have their own celebration to do to with their loved ones.

Despite it, i still enjoyed our little celebration, We had samgyup prepared and also decorations. In school, i didn't assume or expect that someone will give me flowers or chocolates. Instead, i only expected greetings from my friends and classmates. And yet, Jannah gave me a box of chocolates and Jc gave me a flower which surprised since i did not expect that i will receive something like it on Valentine's Day. 

I have realized that valentine's day is not only for lovers, but for all those whom we love. Of course, Valentine's Day is not the only day to share our love. Rather, it is yet another opportunity to let those whom we love know how much we love and appreciate them. Our aging loved ones have so much love to give. It is a day to celebrate love and affection, after all. Being single on Valentine's Day is something very common and is really not a big deal in the whole scheme of things.
